Feature Wall on a Budget

Don’t know what to do with that big empty wall in your house? Don’t feel like investing in expensive artwork? Here’s a fun idea that can easily be changed to reflect the seasons. Check out these super fun, white, distressed baskets. They are a very affordable way to fill up a large wall space quickly. Six baskets were used in the above photo, but feel free to use more or less depending on the space. Three different sizes of baskets were arranged (two of each size) for variety. The best strategy is to start in the middle and then work toward the outer edge, placing the baskets randomly in ways that look appealing. A useful tip is to cut out the shapes of the baskets with wrapping paper and tape them to the wall before permanently affixing. At this point, creativity comes into play! For a simple look, leave the baskets on the wall as is. Greens can be attached and picture frames added for interest. This makes it easy to change depending on the season. The options are endless - throw in mini pumpkins for fall, tuck in faux poinsettias for winter, or add colorful flowers for spring.
